The tussle between the media and actors as to whether the latter’s personal lives should be written about without their prior consent, is a never-ending battle. And while every actor vehemently denies the media’s right to such news, some actors take a different view altogether. Like Priyanka Chopra. Ask her whether she thinks some of the media overdo in the probing bit, and she agrees that the media has every right to know about an actor’s professional life. But there should be a limit to the extent they probe in their personal lives. Being the centre of attraction they generally suffer and lack privacy which sometimes, makes their lives quite difficult. Kunal Khemu makes Aushima bleed
Kunal Khemu is quite busy these days shooting for his forthcoming film ‘Superstar’ which also stars Tulip Joshi and Aushima Sawheny. The film has many action sequences involving jet skis and during the shoot of one such scene Kunal just ended up injuring his co-star Aushima.
It so happened that Kunal had to drive a jet ski in full speed for a scene and he drove so fast that he not only toppled Aushima who flew in the air and fell in the water but also during one take fell back on her and made her nose bleed!!
Recalls Aushima, “Yeah there were quite a many narrow escapes while doing those Jet Ski scenes. Kunal drove so fast that I just flew into the water and he even made my nose bleed during one take. But he is such a gentleman he kept apologizing the entire day! It was fun though shooting those scenes in water, quite thrilling!”
Shilpa Shetty and her beau plan a bash for sis Shamita
That Shilpa Shetty is no more single is a stale news now. Shilpa has found company in UK based businessman Raj Kundra. Kundra was introduced to Shilpa last year by her manager Farhath Hussain with a proposal to launch a perfume. Their professional association blossomed into a relationship in a matter of months.
Now, this Raj Kundra is quite close to Shilpa and has been truly accepted by the Shetty Parivaar. Proof? Raj is currently in Mumbai and is busy planning to hold sister Shamita’s party at China House next week. Shamita’s birthday falls on February 5.
A source close to the Shettys reveals, “The guest list and the menu are being discussed in great detail. Raj has become close to the Shetty family and Shamita is especially fond of him. She feels he’s right for her sister.”
Malaika Arora Khan performs stunt for ‘Dhoom Macha De’
Malaika Arora Khan is hosting a reality show ‘Dhoom Macha De’ for NDTV and she is taking in all efforts to make the show appealing. Recently, she has shot a dangerous stunt for the pilot episode of the show.
Action director Ravi Dewan helped her perform the special stunt. “I was tied to a harness and lifted up in the air. After that, I twist and jump off. It was quite fun, but one has to realise these things can go wrong if not handled well. I was lucky I had professionals working with me on the team,” recalls Malaika.
Malaika’s son Arhaan too was present on the set and cheered his mom on as she performed the stunt, “He was as cool as a cucumber. In fact, after watching me do the stunt, he too wanted to try his hand at it. So we got him a mini harness and let him jump off it. I think he’s got the daredevil streak from me.”
It is clear that the lady has a thing for action and stunts. She began her Bollywood career by dancing atop a train for ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’ in ‘Dil Se’. For ‘Om Shanti Om’, she got into a harness and jumped down a building with SRK.
The show, to be aired from February 1, will have eleven of India’s popular and professional singers. The star contestants of the show include Anaida, Baba Sehgal, Babul Supriyo, Devang Patel, Jaspinder Nirula, Jassi, Kamaal Khan, Richa Sharma, Sapna Awasthi, Suneeta Rao and Taz, who will be judged by Sharmila Tagore, Shankar Mahadevan and Prasoon Joshi.
Akshay demands 1.5 crores to do an Item number
Versatile actor Akshay Kumar apparently refused choreographer turned director Ganesh Acharya, when he approached him for an item number in his film –“Money hain Tho Honey hain”. While Akshay was busy finishing the shooting schedule of his film Singh is Kinng , Ganesh Acharya visited the sets and asked him to do an item number in Money Hain Tho Honey Hain”
Akshay the money maker who wanted his price, asked the director to fix a meeting with the producer Kumar Mangat if they wanted him to do a item number. Actor is said to have quoted 1.5 crore for this number.
Akshay, whose 3 films earned around 730 crores for the bollywood industry in 2007,is said to be in peak of his career and is demanding a whooping 20 crore fo each film . And for just an item number his quote of 1.5 crore seems to be worthy.
Well …what remains is whether the makers of the film will be ready to go ahead with the actor and his price.

“It was a train sequence and Ayesha had to run alongside the train. She was running on the platform. Suddenly, we couldn’t see Ayesha any more. We all thought that Ayesha must have come under the train” says Elahe, the executive producer of the movie. Ayesha had apparently fallen from the platform and was badly hurt.

Aishwarya- Abhishek marriage has left many schedules haywire and not everyone is happy about such a thing. Rani Mukherjee, who has been a great co-star with Abhishek Bachchan is annoyed. Not because she wasn’t invited for the wedding, but because Abhishek has delayed the shoot of their next film ‘Lagaa Chunari Mein Daag’ for which they are paired together for his honeymoon plans. Saif Slits His Hand For Kareena
After going to the extent of tatooing Kareena’s name on his hand, Saif Ali Khan dares to be the Arm in Shining Armour once again, for his damsel Kareena Kapoor who doesn’t seem to be in any distress.
Whilst on the shooting of “Tashaan “ in Greece, some of Bebo’s Pals asked him as to what extent he could go for his love- Kareena.
Much to the shock of her friends and an amused Kareena who was awaiting his reply, Saif did a dare devil stunt of slitting his palm with a knife which was lying nearby.
Now that his act wasn’t irreversible, he went around telling everyone that the injury was caused due to meddling with a broken pane of glass.
All this love fizzled out when the couple had an argument on the last day of the schedule.
Says the source, “On the last day of the schedule, Bebo and Saif had a tiff, after which Saif repeatedly tried calling Bebo who was in her van. But she didn’t answer his calls. Finally Saif tried calling the make-up artist and hair dresser, in order to get in touch with Bebo. But Bebo had given strict instructions to them too not to answer his calls.”

Lakme Fashion Week was suffering from a disappointing attedance until Bollywood star Bipasha Basu popped in to brighten things up.
The Hindi cinema’s superstar took to the catwalk for designer Narendra Kumar, while other fellow screen star John Abraham showed his support from the front row.
“Bollywood and fashion have always been together and they are not two different things and the front space is always booked for Bollywood stars,” says Bipasha.
Narendra Kumar’s chose the theme of ‘freedom from illiteracy’ for his latest collection which featured an interesting mix of bold alphabetic prints on muted colours.
Designers Falguni and Shane shyed away from the serious issues as they showcased their red carpet themed womenswear collection yesterday too.
“We only cater to celebrities. This collection was particularly designed to make women beautiful,” said the duo.

Katrina kaif in Lakme fashion week
While yesterday (October 16) was woefully short of star power at the Lakme Fashion Week, Day five saw both Katrina and Celina Jaitley taking to the ramp and the Bollywood blitzkreig is expected to be out in full force for Manish Malhotra’s show, which will be the finale to the fashion week.
Some designers steal the show with astounding collections while some steal it with great concepts but then there are some who steal the show with sheer star power as the curtains come down on one of the biggest event in Mumbai’s fashion calender. It was Bollywood which ruled the runway.
Fashion frenzy reached fever pitch when Katrina Kaif took to the runway for Rocky S in the first show itself. Incidently Kaif was the show stopper for a collection designed for children.
Katrina Kaif walked the ramp with kids showcasing the collection for kids. She was impressed with the fact that the children did not have a flicker of nervousness in their eyes.
Soon after it was Celina Jaitley’s moment under the fashion spotlight.
The media blitzkrieg went into overdrive when for the second time running. Bipasha Basu and John Abraham made an appearance but this time they decided to swap places. While Bipasha watched from the sidelines it was John, who strutted thrice over.

Sources close to Aishwarya say that it is due to the tight movie schedule which is keeping her at bay, as her Jodha Akbar is releasing in the coming month and her next international project Pink Panther-2 will be starting soon. After that her next project Sarkar Raj will, star its schedule.
Now, what is worth mentioning is that perhaps the success of Om Shanti Om has gone into the head of Deepika, who has let go an opportunity to work in a big budget film opposite South super star Rajnikanth only for the sake of money. This move may prove to be costly for Deepika and she may not even get the opportunity to make amends. For bollywood does not offer time to make amends.

Saif and Kareena Fight at Party
A lot has been written off these days about Kareena and Saif. However this is an authentic piece of information from the couple’s common friends. It all starts with a party. Farhan Akhtar, the well known film director threw a party and invited all his close friends. There didn’t seem to be any specific reason for the party but all the big heads of the industry were present.
According to sources, Saif and Kareena had a fight at Farhan Akhtar’s party, organized on the Friday night. To what extent big it was is not known. The marriage hit troubled waters when Parveen, who is a school teacher, recently got to know about Emraan's close relationship with a Pakistani girl, Sanaa. Parveen was particularly upset when she learnt that Emraan and the new woman in his life had spent some private moments in Cape Town.
According to a reliable source, Sanaa's parents promptly called Emraan's uncle Mahesh Bhatt and informed him about his nephew's secret liaison. Mahesh intervened and summoned Emraan to his Juhu office on Wednesday afternoon.
The filmmaker tried explaining to Emraan that he was not doing the right thing. The conversation, which started off as a discussion, gradually snowballed into a heated argument and then a big showdown.
According to our source, “Mahesh told Emraan to live a steady marital life and focus on his career. Mahesh was simply advising Emraan for his good but Emraan thought that Mahesh was interfering in his life.”

SHWETA KUMAR IN NEW KARZZZZ
A lot of buzz is there about the remake of Subhash Ghai’s 1980 film about re-incarnation. To be produced by Gulshan Kumar and Krishan Kumar the film is titled ‘Karzzzz’. We had provided you with the first look of this Himesh Reshammiyan starrer and now the latest one is about the female lead who will play the role played by Tina Munim in the original movie. The movie will launch a fresh face named Shweta for the role. Shweta is the daughter of Producer-director Indra Kumar who has given us blockbuster films like Dil, Beta, Ishq, Masti and the recent laugh riot Dhamaal.
Directed by Satish Kaushik, the film also stars Urmila Matondkar, Gulshan Grover, Danny Denzongpa and Rohini Hatangadi. The shooting is scheduled to commence from 25th January and the film will be shot in South Africa, Kenya & Mumbai. T-Series has bought the remake rights from Mukta Arts for the original film ‘Karz’ directed by Subhash Ghai.

‘Raaz’ has been the Bhatt’s unequalled success and as the season of sequels continues, Bhatts too want the sequel of Raaz to be made. But neither the director nor the actors are aware of it.
Vikram Bhatt says, “”I really don’t know. Right now I’m readying Red for release and editing my other film Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi” and Bipasha says, “”This is the first time I’m hearing about it.” The only person who seems enthusiastic about the freshly heard news is Dino Morea and why not that’s the only success he has had in his whole career. The man says, “”Bhatt Saab has been talking about a sequel to Raaz. I don’t mind doing it, as long as the story is carried forward logically and interestingly. After all sequels are doing stupendously well. And Raaz was one of the biggest hits in recent times.” But looks like Mahesh Bhatt has got an entirely different plan for the sequel, “It’s Mohit Suri who directed my productions Zeher, Kalyug and Woh Lamhe who thought of the idea for the sequel. The speculation out there is that no actress has refused Yash Raj banner with regards to the demands they have made. And it is the same with Kareena, she has never posed in a bikini in any of her films but is posing in one for: “Tashan” which comes under Yash Raj’s banner.
When asked to comment about it, Kareena says just one thing “The Script demanded it”.

Reports reveal that John is pissed off with Ash’s attitude and decided to back off from one of the projects.

“Jodha Akbar” a UTV venture, is the most awaited film of the year. which is based on a romance between the 16th century Muslim Mughal emperor Akbar, played by Hrithik Roshan, and a Hindu princess, Jodha Bai, played by Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai.
Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, the movie will also be dubbed in Tamil and Telugu languages.
Former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan states that all the actors in the movie ‘Jodha Akbar’ had worked very hard and had done the film with ‘full passion’.
What if Jodha Akbar failed like Asoka?????
To this question Ash stated “At certain times certain films do well…certain films do not do that well. It’s a very tricky thing.”
On the other hand bollywood movie star Hrithik Roshan says he deliberately choose this movie , as acting out the difficult role of the Mongol emperor in the new historical romance “Jodha Akbar” gave him an opportunity to excel as an actor.
“It is only when it seems to threaten the value of my job would I be consciously giving it my best,” he said.
