deepika padukone yuraj singh birthday

On Wednesday, December 12, actress Deepika Padukone was the centre of attention at the birthday party of cricketer Yuvraj Singh. The party, at Mumbai’s J W Marriott Hotel, was attended by close friends and relatives.

Yuvraj was obviously in a mood to party after proving wrong all the criticism about him at the five-day format of cricket and Deepika was cheekily complementing his mood.

Adds a source, “She mingled with the guests as if she belonged to Yuvraj’s family. The duo looked more than just friends if their body language was any indication.” Is Dhoni listening?

Smriti Irani steps into Bollywood

This is not the first time that a small screen star is looking up to the big screens, but yes there is a difference. Television’s most popular ‘bahu’, Smriti Irani, has decided to step in to world of bigger screen but not as an actor, as a producer. Smriti will produce her first film (a comedy) in joint collaboration with leading production house UTV.

While the cast is yet to be finalized, the script writing has been handed over to Kamlesh Pandey of ‘Rang De Basanti’ fame and Imtiaz Patel.

The film will be entirely shot in India and would be a different kind of a comedy which Indian cinema has never ever witnessed. From popular small screen Bahu to politics, from direction to producing films, Smriti has surely come a long way!

Masquerade’ - Mallika out, Urmila in

The coming year seems to be quite promising for the ‘Rangeela’ girl. After bagging in a role in ‘Karzzz’, the Urmila Matondkar lady has landed up with Kundan Shah’s movie ‘Masquerade’. However, Urmila was not Kundan’s first choice.

The role was initially offered to Mallika Sherawat but the actress started demanding a lot of changes. Owing to the attitude and creative differences with the director, Mallika finally walked out of the project and the role fell into Urmila’s kitty.

Urmila is keen on ‘Masquerade’ as it has a great storyline; a prostitute, who becomes a politician. Kundan is promising Urmi a big comeback and we hope that everything works out well this time.
