The Gladrags Mrs. India concluding episode took place on Saturday March 14th launching a select assemblage of sizzling married women below the age of fifty. These women personify the distinctiveness of beauty blended with brains and aptitude.

The Gladrags Mrs. India pageant is specifically designed for married Indian women who go through various parameters before bagging the title. The Gladrags Mrs. India 2009 celeb judges were Neetu Chandra, Mahima Chaudhry, Sonu Sood and Maureen Wadia, who is the president of Gladrags Beauty Pageants. The show was also graced by a rocking performance of Sandhya Mridul.

Sophia Handa a twenty-six year hottie took home the crown for 2009 although the sensational event had a lot of expectants. Presently a housewife appeared stunning in her dark red lengha with elaborate gold embroidery on it.

Minissha Lamba on ‘Knights and Angels’

Sunsilk Presents ‘Knights and Angels’ has entered its third week and the competition is getting tougher with every episode. The third episode of the programme was special in the sense that gorgeous lady Minissha Lamba was the celebrity judge for the show. She added glamour to the show with her performance on Sonia from ‘Kidnap’. She was specially impressed by fiery and energetic Delhiite Rekha’s performance and she bestowed the title of ‘Pocket Rocket’ to her.

Sourav Ganguly surprised everyone on the show by breaking into the famous Bengali motivational song ‘Jodi Tor Dak Shune Koi Na Aashe Tobe Akla Cholo Re’. Bengali contestant Ananya joined him in the singing.

Amrita and Shakeel Ladhak change their honeymoon plans

After the much publicized star studded wedding of Amrita and Shakeel Ladhak, the decided had decided to go for a honeymoon trip to Mexico. The place had been Amrita’s choice who had chosen it because of its western beauty and spicy cuisine. Amrita has already been to most European cities. Only Mexico and Hawaii are the places she has never been before. But unfortunately the couple had to cancel their trip due to excessive drug violence in the country making the scenario there unsafe.

The duo had planned a 15-day honeymoon. They were to leave on March 14, go to New York and head to Mexico from there. Now, they have changed their plans owing to family pressure and will fly to New York and then go to Hawaii or some other place rather than risk their lives going to Mexico.

After shooting for Pantaloon campaign, the duo will head to New York. Marriage has not put a full stop on Amrita’s career. After enjoying honeymoon, she will shoot for Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kambakht Ishq and Season’s Greetings.

First Look - What’s Your Rashee?

Their last film together ‘Love Story 2050’ was a disaster at the box-office which eventually led to their breakup. Now, the duo Harman Baweja and Priyanka Chopra will again be seen together on-screen for Ashutosh Gowarikar directed ‘Whats Your Rashee?’ The movie is based on US based Gujarati writer Madhu Rye’s novel Kimball Ravenswood. The film is presented by UTV Motion Pictures and Ashutosh Gowariker Productions and will be jointly produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Sunita A.Gowariker.

The film revolves around a young Gujarati man (Harman) in pursuit of his dream girl (Priyanka). The dream girl should be found within 10 days to save his family from an unforeseen ordeal. This leads to an array of confusion, chaos and a hilarious joy ride.

Kareena Kapoor on the cover of ‘Blender’

Kareena Kapoor has truly acquired a diva status in Bollywood and whenever and wherever she appears she exudes her irresistible charm. Since her debut in ‘Garam Masala’ a few years ago, there has been no looking back for Neetu Chandra. In a short span of just four years, Neetu has done variety of roles that range from a glamorous air hostess in ‘Garam Masala’ to the ‘’closer-to-life’’ street vendor in ‘Traffic Signal’ to a comic role as police officer in ‘One Two Three’ to the consort of the ‘Super chor’ Bunty in ‘Oye Lucky Lucky Oye’. Priyanka Chopra - Privileged at the Ferragamo Museum

Adding to yet another feather to her cap, Priyanka Chopra had her foot immortalized at the Ferragamo Museum in Florence! The Museum committed to renowned shoemaker Salvatore Ferragamo - who is well thought-out to be the greatest shoe designers in the world, invited Priyanka to have her foot cast in the Museum!

Maharani Indira Devi of Cooch Behar was the single other Indian lady to have her foot cast in this museum. At this prestigious museum, a few of Hollywood stars, like Drew Barrymore have also been requested to leave their foot impressions. Miss Chopra’s imprint will have the honor of company of the most celebrated Hollywood film stars- Marilyn Monroe and Sophia Loren! That’s sure some star power!

Payal Rohatgi shares her naughty side with ‘Maxim’

Payal Rohatgi who shot to fame coming out of blink and miss roles and B-grade films with ‘Big Boss 2’ has done her first ever photoshoot for leading Maxim Magazine in its latest issue. Payal is a computer engineer from L.D. College of Engineering, Ahmedabad. Payal studied in Udgam School., Payal Rohatgi won the title of Miss Tourism World in 2001, against candidates from 65 countries. She was also a finalist at the Femina Miss India contest in 2000.

Pre-Holi Bash for the Rajasthan Royals

Shilpa Shetty organized a pre-Holi bash for the Rajasthan Royals Cricket team. Shilpa arrived at the bash dazzling in a golden attire with her boyfriend Raj Kundra and her sister Shamita Shetty. Shamita looked equally gorgeous in a green dress which she wore for the event.

Indian Premiere League’s second season is all set to start next month and Shilpa Shetty is very thrilled as she with her businessman boyfriend bought about 12% stake in the franchise and is also the face of the team. This is a joint venture of Shetty along with her London-based partner Raj Kundra.

Shilpa Shetty opens up her chain of medi-spas

After winning the title of ‘Big Brother’, Shilpa Shetty has stepped into many shoes, Television host, Yoga Guru, actress, producer, business woman, active fighting against AIDS and racism, to name a few. Now, she has decided to take up the task of making people beautiful. It is known to very few people that Shilpa is a trained beautician and that she always wanted to own a ‘beauty parlour’.

Shilpa Shetty has launched a chain of medi-spas all over Mumbai in partnership with spa owner, Kiran Bawa. IOSIS is not quite a beauty parlour, it is closer to a spa, Shilpa said at the inaugration.

A source close to the actress reveals, “Shilpa hasn’t had a party for a long time but on March 10, she will have a double celebration the Royal Rendezvous to celebrate her partnership with Rajasthan Royals as well as the opening of her new medi-spa at a five-star hotel in the suburbs. She has already asked people to block the date.”

Aishwarya and Abhishek shoot for ‘Raavan’

Aishwarya Rai and hubby Abhishek Bachchan are busy these days with the shoot of Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan’ and ‘Ashokavanam’ in Tamil which is taking place on the banks of Hoogly. Abhishek is playing the central character in Mani Ratnam’s movie Raavan, a modern adaptation of the epic Ramayana. Aishwarya Rai plays a contemporary Sita, appearing as an accomplished Carnatic Musician in the movie. While Abhishek stars in the Hindi version, southern star Prithviraj Sukumar plays the lead role in the Tamil version.

Besides Abhishek and Aishwarya, the film also stars Aishwarya Rai, Vikram, Manisha Koirala, Govinda, Ravi Kishan, Tejaswini Kolhapure, and Ajay Gehi.

The actress has been shooting for this movie here since February 17 while her husband Abhishek Bachchan too has joined the sets recently. The shooting is expected to continue till mid-March. Ratnam has chosen Saheb Kothi, an old Zamindar Bari (mansion of landed gentry of yore) on the banks of River Hooghly at Agarpara, in North 24-Parganas District. He has kept the unit and the locale strictly out of media glare.

Wedding Bells for Bollywood beauties

It is wedding time in Bollywood with two of our most gorgeous actresses tying knots with their hubby. Actress Amrita Arora got married to Shakeel Ladak by Catholic rituals at Olive restaurant in Mumbai. The wedding was graced by Bollywood biggies that include Gauri and Shah Rukh Khan, Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan and Zayed Khan with their wives along with Twinkle and Akshay Kumar, Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia, Urmila Matondkar, Priyanka Chopra, Mehr and Arjun Rampal, Manish Malhotra, Tusshar Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan to name a few. However, there was an initial disappointment when the got a call from the Mt Mary Basilica stating that the wedding ceremony would not be possible because of security issues.

Also, this March, beautiful Ayesha Takia married her long time boyfriend Farhan. Her wedding took place on March 1, 2009 in Mumbai. They had a quiet nikaah as per Islamic tradition. Only family members attended the wedding ceremony which was a simple, private affair with only near and dear ones invited. On the night of 2 March, Ayesha and Farhan gave a party to their friends and other friends from the industry.

Preity Zinta in Napier to cheer Indian team

Bollywood star Preity Zinta made a surprise visit to the McClean park, moments before the toss in the first ODI between India and New Zealand there to cheer The Kings Eleven Punjab, an IPL franchisee co-owned by Zinta.

“I have been invited by the New Zealand Prime Minister and will be attending the official function hosted for the Indian team on March 5 at Wellington,” said Preity, who looked gorgeous as ever clad in faded blue jeans and a blood-red top.

Preity briefly met Yuvraj Singh, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Irfan Pathan before the start of the match and wished them well. “I met Yuvraj, Dhoni and Irfan briefly. Nothing much,” she revealed.

Indian team moral was already down by white wash in T20 series. But it seems her present has worked magic and Indian team won that day’s match.
