Priyanka Chopra dyed her hair to red for Harry Baweja's film LOVE STORY 2050 and this she did twice ...from black to red to black and back again to red during the progress of the film. This is a first in the Hindi film industry for an actor to dye their hair to a totally different colour ...Usually actors wear wigs or get colours which are more natural. The look is the brainchild of Harry Baweja, make-up maestro Mickey Contractor and hair stylist Thea.

Speaking on this, Harry Baweja said, "The idea was to have a look that people could imagine and relate to in future. We didn't want them resembling aliens or looking as if they've landed from Star trek. The film is set in the future but it's not about space travel. It took us six months to zero in on the final look".

He further added, "The biggest challenge about coming up with Priyanka's futuristic look was to predict fashion trends 40 yrs ahead of its time and match those trends to the essence of the character and interest of the viewers".

The film stars Priyanka Chopra, introduces Harman Baweja and Boman Irani, Archana Pooran Singh, Dalip Tahil, and Shishir Saxena. The music of the film has been given by Anu Malik with lyrics by Javed Akhtar.

Talking about it, Riya says, “I was present as a guest in the IPL’s inaugural match. And I know all of the organizers of IPL very well, including Modi. It was our mutual love for cricket that got us together. As a Brand Ambassador of the website, I am supposed to attend at least 5 matches, but I am planning to attend much more than 12 matches, subject to I am not working (shooting) at that time.”

Celina Jailtey dismayed by insensitiveness of people

This is real India, quite different from the dreamy silver screen where the hero is there everytime, the heroine is in trouble. Celina Jaitley faced this harsh reality when her brother Vikrant Jaitley, an army officer, was involved in a hit and run accident and none of the people present on the scene came forward to his rescue. Finally, a passer-by picked up Vikrant’s cell phones and dialed the last number on it, which happened to be Celina’s father’s number.

Says Celina, “Vikrant could have died right there on the road. He was lying unattended on a pool of blood for 25 minutes while the people around simply stood and stared. No one helped my brother. The women stood with their dupattas clasped to their mouths while the men stared at the scene. Everyone in Mhow knows my father and our house is known as the Jaitly kothi. Yet nobody came to rescue him.”

“No one lifted a finger, while a man in uniform was dying. Finally, one gentleman who was passing by saw the scene and called up my father from my brother’s mobile phone which was lying a little distance away,” continues the actress.

Vikrant is now recovering well and doctors have said that he will be back on duty, as an army officer, within weeks.

Dev Anand casts his eyes on Riya Sen

There is no denying the fact that forever young Dev Anand has an eye for digging the best beauties in the tinsel town. This time the lucky one is Bong beauty Riya Sen who will be playing the leading role in Dev Saab’s next directorial venture.

The film based on a socio-political theme has been titled ‘Charge Sheet’. Riya and Jackie Shroff have been finalized and the search is still on for the rest of the casting. To be mentioned here that this veteran star has already worked with two generations of the Sen family- Suchitra Sen and Moon Moon Sen.

Speaking to a Mumbai tabloid, Dev Anand told that his film requires a glamorous, good-looking female and Riya suits the role. Dev Anand will be flying to Cannes shortly where his evergreen film ‘Guide’ has been chosen for screening in the Classics section of this year’s Cannes Film Festival.

Chitrangada Singh is back and how!

Actress Chitrangada Singh was much in news lately for being finalized opposite Aamir Khan for ‘Delhi Belly’. She created all the more news when she walked out of ‘Delhi Belly’ starring Aamir Khan due to creative differences with the makers of the film.

‘I have left the film due to creative differences. I have nothing personal against the film’s makers. They wanted to stick to the script without making any changes and it did not suit me,’ Chitrangada said.

The actress, received critical acclaims for ‘Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi’ (2003) and was seen again in 2005 in ‘Kal: Yesterday and Tomorrow’. Now she is doing Onir’s ‘Sorry Bhai‘ which is slated for a July release. Currently she is shooting for Sudhir Mishra’s ‘Aur Devdas‘ where she will be playing the character of Chandramukhi. She divulged that she is in talks with three other directors for her future projects.
