Saif says, “I would never want her to change her religion. That is the trouble with religion really it expects conversion. I don’t buy or believe that any more. Asin has been so over worked and busy these days that finally, her body could not take the strain and she passes out at an Andheri club because of non-stop interviews that she had to give for her latest film, ‘London Dreams’. The actress had reportedly slept for barely 3-4 hours last week and on that day, she had no sleep or food. This, added to the fact that she was on a slimming diet, led to her collapse and she had to be revived by her staff and friends by instant energy boosters.

Later, she rested at home on her birthday. When she came home on Sunday evening, her parents had done up the entire house with balloons, like they used to when she was younger. The night was spent with close friends who came over to dinner after which they made her cut the cake at midnight. She also spent some part of her day with children from her building.

Esha Deol is all set to make a comeback with a bang with her next venture ‘Tell Me Oh Khuda’ under the direction of Mayur Puri. Reports have it that four veteran cinematographers, namely, Grant Appleton, Hayk Kirakosyan, Carlos Catalan and Burak Turan, have been roped in for shooting separate portions of the film’s four actors so that there is a distinct and unique feel to each of these parts. Burak Turan will shoot Esha’s scenes with Rishi Kapoor in Turkey. Vinod Khanna’s scenes will be shot in Rajasthan.

However, the plot for the film resembles Hema Malini’s previous directorial venture– ‘Dil Aashna Hai’ to a great extent. Mayur Puri says that both films are about a quest and the plot was chosen by Hema Malini after he narrated three to four ideas to her.

It cane out that the lady had a knee injury in August while working out and the knee is still in the healing process. While working out, Ameesha was spinning excessively and damaged her knees. Currently, the actress is been undergoing physiotherapy and in order to refrain from putting pressure on her knees, she is not doing cardio and lower body workouts.

Ameesha’s trainer, Khushru Cooper says, “She is recovering. These are joints of the body which are used at every movement of yours, may be while walking or sitting. Thus it is a slow and careful recovery. Her physiotherapy is on and will be fine soon.”

Bollywood News - Star couples Saif-Kareena & Abhi-Ash brighten up GQ awards ceremony

It was an unbelievable starry evening full of glamour and glitter when hot real-life couples like Saif-Kareena, Abhi-Ash and Amitabh-Jaya walked hand-in-hand and beamed as they grabbed in awards. Talking about the awards ceremony held at Mumbai’s Grand Hyatt Hotel on Sunday for the leading men’s magazine ‘GQ’, the event witnessed

Amitabh Bachchan, who was there with his family, wife, bahu, son and daughter and who received the Lifetime Achievement award said, “Well, now I’ll have to make more space to fit in yet another award.”

Katrina also won the GQ woman of the year award. Once again Katrina was seen sans Salman and was seen posing for the shutterbugs with Karan Johar. Abhay Deol picked up the Breakthrough Talent title.

As Ranbir Kapoor turns 27, he has double reasons to celebrate as his birthday week will also see his much-awaited film ‘Wake Up Sid’ hit the screens. However, Ranbir does not believe in partying hard for his B’day and he intends to keep the celebration very quiet and subtle.

Elaborating on his birthday plans, Ranbir said, “I will be having a quiet dinner with my parents. My sister Riddhima and my brother-in-law Bharat are traveling this year. I’m a shy guy and I normally like having an intimate celebration rather than something ostentatious.”

He adds, “I’m not one of those guys for surprise parties. I feel awkward. I have no idea what Deepika has planned for me. I haven’t seen her for a few days because I have been in Bhopal and she was in Mumbai. However, I hope it isn’t too big a surprise because even she knows how reserved I am.”

Of course, he does not forget to mention his forthcoming release and says, “The best gift I can ask for this year is that everyone goes to see my film. I don’t know how to hardsell myself or my film but I can surely request people to see it.”

The Bong beauties of Bollywood, Kajol and Rani Mukherjee, celebrated Durga Puja at Balkanji Bari in Santa Cruz West on Thursday. The Puja was organized by the North Bombay Sarbhajanin Durga Puja Charitable Trust and the set was designed by Amit Pal and was graced by a 13-feet tall Durga idol.

The celebrations also included the veteran actress Moushumi Chatterjee who said, “This isn’t just a Mukherjee’s puja for celebrities. It’s for the working class. We do our utmost to bring all communities together. I request the new generation to be humble and inclusive of all.”

Debu Mukherjee, secretary of the trust added, “This puja is a gharelu (domestic) puja. Kajol and Rani grew up here. So we don’t think they are celebrities. It’s like a house party for them.”

In fact, Ranbir was so amazed and surprised by Katrina’s ability to do the stunt that he nicknamed her as ‘Rambo ki sister Sambo’.

“Katrina was so good in the action scenes that I actually named her ‘Rambo ki sister Sambo,” said Ranbir.
