The All India Achievers Conference (AIAC) Awards for Excellence created quite a bit of confusion as it was organized by a certain ‘Abhishek Bachchan’.
A one time producer, Abhishek turned journalist after making losses but celebrities like Kashmeera Shah were under the impression that they would be receiving their award from the ‘real’ Abhishek Bachchan.
Rohit Roy, who was also among the winners, came to the venue and asked some of the photographers… ‘sab aagaye kya?’ After he heard a yes, he then asked them… ‘Abhishek Bachchan bhi?’ only to be informed that he was some businessman cum journalist. And as soon as he heard this, he drove back in his car without receiving his honour!
Last year Suresh Oberoi got this honour and was invited as the special guest this time but was conspicuous by his absence.
