She was also considered by Aditya Chopra for ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ but was later dropped out because she failed to look like a seventeen year old on screen.
However, Aditya just could not resist his temptation to cast Sonam and now, the latest buzz is that Yash Raj films has signed Sonam Kapoor for their next production and in this romantic project, Sonam will be sharing space with Shahid Kapoor.
Bipasha Basu plans to take a holiday break to island Capri in Italy with her long-time love John Abraham. Bips had been there for a shooting and the isle impressed her so much that she felt like calling John immediately for a holiday, but sadly enough John is currently shooting for Kabir Khan’s New York in Philadelphia.
Basu is also impressed by the hotel where she stayed and says, “The hotel where I stayed is frequented by celebrities from all over the world. My room overlooked the ocean and it was the most gorgeous suite I had ever stayed in.”
Bipasha is currently getting her house renovated and is busy with that. “I have rented a place close to where I live so that I can shift there while my house is being renovated. But even my rented house is being done up before I can move there. For now, I am staying at my own place in a makeshift corner. With all this work going on, you can understand my unhappy state of mind. It’s about time I take my most deserved holiday break. I am definitely going back to Capri with John,” says Bipasha.

Bipasha Basu looked ravishing as ever. Sameera Reddy was equally hot in her short yellow dress but the lady who was at her confident best was graceful Perizaad Zorabian who looked demure and a true Indian bride in glittering red and blue lehenga. Manoj Kumar wins his case against Farah & SRK
‘Om Shanti Om’ was released in November last year and was a blockbuster hit of 2007, but not without its share of controversies. The film has some scenes with a cariecatcher of the yesteryear superstar Manoj Kumar. Manoj Kumar was really upset over the scenes and honoring his sentiments, SRK and Farah Khan immediately extended the olive branch to the patriotic superstar and the film went on to create history in terms of B-O collections.
But then OSO got its release dates for satellite viewing which had retained Manoj Kumar’s scene. In response, the veteran actor filed a case against the makers of OSO in the Mumbai Sessions Court, demanding either a stay on the satellite screening or the deletion of the objectionable scenes.
Now the latest addition is that the court has announced its verdict in favour of Manoj Kumar and has restrained the satellite telecasting of the film on 10/08/08 till further orders. So, the film now cannot be shown on any satellite channel without the deletion of the objectionable scenes.
Kitchen has always been a special place for girls and cine stars are no exception, for it is learnt that fitness freak Kareena Kapoor along with long-time friend Amrita Arora, have taken up the responsibility of feeding low-cal healthy food to their co-stars on the sets of ‘Golmaal Returns’.
Co-stars Tusshar Kapoor admits that Kareena was cooking for her friends. “Very few are aware that Kareena is a great cook. She hit the kitchen when we were in Goa and made awesome South Indian food for us. Her specialty is Paneer Tikka. She put me, Ajay Devgan, Amrita Arora and Arshad Warsi on this diet.”
Good friend Amrita Arora also swears by Kareena’s culinary skills. “I was pleasantly surprised when she made South Indian food for us in Goa. She has been cooking on and off even now.”
So, now that we know about Kareena’s cooking skills, the secret is revealed how Kareena made her way to Saif’s heart!
It all happened on the sets of a television reality show where Ranbir Kapoor, Bipasha Basu and Deepika Padukone appeared for the promotion of their upcoming ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’.
Incidentally, Deepika was to make an entry with Ranbir, but Bips did not like the idea at all and insisted that she should make an entry with the Kapoor kid. So, the promoters decided to focus on Bipasha on the TV show and arranged an entry of Ranbir and Bipasha together. Deepika, sadly, was sidelined.
Jealous as all women are, Deepika did not take it down in good spirit and kept sulking through the entire show, so much so, that she even snapped at a contestant leaving him hurt.

“Neha is playing a moll kind of a character. She has really worked out very hard for this character and looks in great shape, so one of the things that we have taken advantage of is the fact that Neha is in such good shape. We have given her a lot of short dresses and have even played around with different colors. Even though she is part of a gang of guys, she has not been given a rugged look. In fact, she has been given a stunning and sophisticated look”, says Thea of the designer duo.
This was definitely a bad stroke of luck for pretty Hansika Motwani who has to opt out of her next film in the South ‘Pulli‘ because of unforeseen date problems. The film is directed by Surya and Hansika was supposed to star opposite Pawan Kalyan in the film. But Pawan Kalyan’s decision to enter politics tangled the disturbed the entire schedule for Pawan changed the dates for the shoot of the film and Hansika was in a tight spot as she had already committed the new dates to other projects.
Practical as she is, instead of inconveniencing the entire cast, Hansika has decided to gracefully bow out of the film and is awaiting another opportunity to work with Pawan Kalyan and the director Surya.

Well, unlike Saif going for ‘Kareena’ in Devanagri script, Deepika has done it with just the initials RK. Naturally because of where it is placed, the actress cannot actually flaunt it, but by now, all know about it.
