Nandita Das, who is one of the most talented actresses of current Indian cinema, primarily, from the parallel cinema recently directed her first movie; Firaaq which is weaved around the after tension of a communal carnage and activities that occurred within time frame of 24 hours. In this movie she has got opportunity to direct a number of noted artists like Nasseruddin Shah, Paresh Rawal, Dipti Naval, Raghubir Yadav, Sanjay Suri and Tisca Chopra and some new talents like Shahana Goswami and Nowaz.
